Question: Because of the attention to drugs in society today, are popular celebrities positively influencing teens to make the right decisions or are stars negatively impacting them by modeling poor behavior?
Influnce: the capacity or power of persons or things to be a compelling force on or produce effects on the actions, behavior, opinions, etc., of others Defined by the Random House Dictionary
We are all influenced by different people, from our parents to our older siblings to our idols. In the news today, with the heavy amount of gossip that is reported daily, it's almost impossible for celbrities to keep a positive image and a private life. Many of these celebrities who are in and out of tabloids, however, have learned that the easiest way to stay in the public eye is by doing something so drastic that their face can't avoid being on the front page of US Weekly or People. When teens today look up to their heros, from the careless Lindsay Lohan to the heart throb Justin Beiber, they see what their life choices are and, quite often, follow in their footsteps.
